Azeroth has been interesting as of late because there seems to be this influx of new 70’s all looking for gear, guilds, and raids. I think this is probably due to the commercials around Christmas time. Good job Shat, you have brainwashed a second generation into abandoning reality and turning to the fantasy world for comfort. I think your number of followers and dreamers may have even surpassed those that follow Hugh.

Congrats on your accomplishment of getting to 70 in vanilla wow, now take some advice from someone who has been here a while.

1. You don’t need gold, herbs, ore, or anything else any more than we do, so share.

2. It is our option, not our obligation to help you, ask politely and generally we will.

3. Don’t assume you know more about the fight than we do because you read about it … We have seen it … once or twice.

4. Just because it’s a bigger upgrade for you, that doesn’t mean that we don’t get to roll on it. In general you get all drops because they are not an upgrade for us, but there are still some out there.

5. Your toon, not you, has the rep … So think twice before letting someone else play your toon.

6. We put a lot of time and effort to make our toons what they are; you might want to do the same. See the sidebar for links if you need help.

7. There are different levels of level 70. … my arena score may not be the best mainly because I do PvE a little too much to worry about it, but it’s better than the one you are going to start with … you might want to think about this before flagging your greens in front of my epicness because you are upset about a mining node/herb/need to flex the ego.

What this is really about is gear. When we go into Kara every week, we generally take 1 or 2 or sometimes 3 very under geared people with us. Sure, we could do a 4 hour clear if we didn’t do this, but this way we feel better about the run because we are getting more out of it than badges and void crystals. Which are still really expensive on the AH btw despite the number of them out there … this I no understand … If a group of highly geared, experienced 70’s are running you through Kara giving you free epics, and one of them says hey, I am taking King’s Defender, no, you don’t have the right to roll on it … You already got 4 epics when we used to do 1 to every 10 bosses if we were lucky. Sorry about your bad luck on getting every drop in Kara. It's probably a good idea to just let us have it if you want to get your free Kara run through next week, I promise we can 7 man Kara.

Just because you can wear Cloth/Leather/Mail, doesn’t mean that you should. I have seen a growing number of toons lately wearing things other than intended for their class. You are a pally; the best pallys in the game are wearing healing plate, why are you wearing cloth? You are a hunter, why are you rolling against that rogue for leather? Knurd has not worn any piece of leather since lvl 42, and he won’t be. Go get gear intended for your class, and leave the gear intended for another class alone … I assure you that there is gear that is better for you than that priest/rogue/druid/shammy chest.

It shows laziness in your class when you are working your way through T5 content and have not done the research to find the armor designed for your class in my not so humble opinion. No one may do it in raid/party/guild chat, but I assure you we will be laughing at you in whispers when you show up as a hunter in rogue leather, or a pally in cloth. I am sure we are not the only ones, even if I am a little more cynical than others.

Some would say that we should help you correct this problem. I disagree. At that level in the game, you should already know your class, and other than little tips here and there we should not have to help you with your gear.

Do the research, get the gear, be a hero. Even if it is in your own mind.
