DRUIDS ALL AROUND! There is nothing that is neater than 3 or more druids in cheetah form running through STV. There are 3 druids we have been leveling over time. We have come to the conclusion that we need to push for 60. This was decided once Alent’s Pally tank, Stubbie, passed 40 and Slydar approached 40. Lunare (Adazar) and Adrialla (Calanas) were approaching the mid thirties at that point. Stubbie and Slydar paused just long enough for Lunare and Adrialla to catch up, and now we are making the push between raiding. Leonnis also threw Moditheos (Shammy) in the mix even through he is slightly ahead of us. As they stand now, Moditheos is 48, Stubbie is 47, Slydar is 45, and the twins, (Lunare and Adrialla), are 43. We are expecting to hit outland within 2 weeks, and 70 within a month. Once we clear 63, there is another Druid, Jaell, (Tallerin) who is waiting for us to catch up to make the push towards 70. Don’t forget that Stubbie also has a 70 resto druid named Neravan. Our arena team should be a blast. We are also looking forward to doing a 10 druid Kara, and then ZA at some point after that. Other druids in our circle of friends are, Amalara (Resto, Safe Haven), Tyrandeis (Feral/Arena King, CoN), and then the assorted ones from the two main guilds.
Looking at the Shadow bank yesterday, (Our Co-Op guild); I realized that we had filled it again. It was time for a 4th tab, but that is 1000g. Any one of us could put the money into the bank to make it happen, but the bank is full. Upon looking through what we had in there, it was junk, and lots of it. I shouldn’t say that, there was enchanting mats, herbs, lots of useful stuff, and low level armor galore. The druids being the last set of toons that are going to come up to 70, with the exception of my priest, (ArchDeity), any mail armor, or any armor under lvl 40 could go. We went through the bank and pulled everything that wasn’t either a piece of cloth that Arch could use, or a piece of armor that one of our toons would use, (which wasn’t much), and Adazar popped it. I then went through the enchanting mats and pulled all of the extra stuff, leaving just enough for us to be able to enchant our current gear. Who the hell needs 3 stacks of [Large Prismatic Shard] anyway? Once everything had been popped, I started listing it on the AH that we didn’t need and suddenly we had enough gold for our 4th tab! We don’t use this bank much as we are very active with Defiant these days, but it’s a great place for us to store things for our low level toons when we play them. I get the feeling that it won’t be long before we switch the druids over to Defiant as that guild is feeling a lot like home these days.
Speaking of Defiant, last night was our Mt. Hyjal night. We have never had a problem making up to Rage Winterchill, but have never managed to down her. I honestly, as did everyone else it would appear, had my doubts as to whether we would down her. Grayen put together the best of the best for our attempt last night, and even stated that if that group couldn’t down her, we weren’t going to do it. Our first attempt we wiped on trash wave 8, (You can read about the battle here). The second attempt we go to Rage with no deaths, then downed her with minimal Deaths. She dropped a couple of nice pieces of loot, [Chronicle of Dark Secrets] and [Bracers of the Pathfinder]. I got lucky with my roll of 98, WOOT!, and [Bracers of the Pathfinder] were mine! After screen shots were taken, we started discussing what to do next ... we decided to move onto the second boss, Anetheron. The only problem here is everyone starts slowly admitting on vent that we had all done so much reading about the first fight to make sure that we won, no one had read a damn thing about the second boss. We quickly read the strats, and talked about it, and decided to give it an attempt which didn’t go too bad. We got him down to 85% which wasn’t bad considering how little we knew about him. He does an AOE attack which leveled most of the raid on the first hit. As it turns out, we were all standing front of him, when we should have been in a circle around him so he doesn’t kill us all. Oh well, it was fun! I also managed to scrape together enough rep that I can finally start using [Timeless Arrow] .
All in all it was a good day, and a fun night! Slydar grabbed a couple of levels, Shadow bank got cleared out and has enough gold for the next tab, and Knurd got a new piece of gear! This weekend is going to be more leveling with Slydar, and we have our normal Kara run tonight.
